Winter Climbing

The rewards of climbing in winter are extraordinary. The conditions, being harsher, make the success so much sweeter. If you're an experienced winter walker and want to take things to the next level then climbing easier grade gullies or ridges in winter might be for you.

For anyone wanting even more, we provide winter climbing courses based in the Lakes and Scotland, depending where the conditions are most suitable.

Year round lake or river trips
Canoeing

A great activity for people of all ages. Your instructor will teach you everything you need to know to be able to paddle as a tandem pair or solo on some of the most beautiful lakes and rivers in the country.

Explore remote islands and tranquil bays amidst fantastic scenery or venture onto a gently flowing river. The rivers we use are rarely paddled so this is the ideal opportunity to see a variety of wildlife - we might spot an otter, or an ellusive kingfisher or even catch a glimpse of an osprey.

** Minimum of two people. Individual climbing fee is £165

Guided walks or learn essential skills
Mountain Walking

Whatever the time of year the Lake District has some of Britain’s best, most scenic and most accessible walking areas. Whether you like a low level stroll or a strenuous high mountain walk, we can tailor your day to give you the best experience.

Your leader will guide you on some of the Lake District's finest walks. Most of our leaders are members of Mountain Rescue Teams so you can be safe in the knowledge that they will be taking very good care of you.

Classic scrambles include Cam Crag Ridge
Scrambling

Scrambling is a blend of mountain walking and rock climbing, where the horizontal meets the vertical and takes you off the beaten track into steeper ground.

There are some fantastic classic scrambles in the Lake District, at a variety of grades, allowing the level of challenge to be matched to your experience and head for heights.

You’ll cover lots of ground during the day, whilst learning some of the essential skills to venture out next time by yourself if you wish.
