  • Dress for the conditions on the day

  • On your legs - jogging/tracksuit pants, leggings or shorts (if it's warm!) 

  • On your body - layers of loose fitting clothing, fleeces or hoodies

  • On your feet - trainers, the closer fitting the better

  • Just in case - waterproof jacket & trousers

  • To carry things - a rucksack, and remember to pack food & drink

  • In the summer having some midge repellant might be useful

  • Swimwear for underneath your wetsuit (provided by Live4Adventure)

  • Tracksuit trousers or board shorts to go over your wetsuit

  • On your feet - trainers or soft boots (not watersports shoes/crocs)

  • Full change of clothes and a towel & a bag for your wet stuff

 

  • Note - there are no changing facilities at our ghyll scrambling sites, please be prepared to change behind your towel, in your car or in the bushes.

Live4Adventure will provide you with all the technical and safety equipment you'll need for an activity with us. Of course, if you've got your own gear, such as wetsuit or climbing harness, and we think it's suitable, you'll be welcome to wear it. The essential thing is that you wear the right clothes and footwear for your activities, nothing technical or specialist is needed. Please see our recommendations below;

  • Dress for the conditions on the day

  • On your legs - walking/tracksuit trousers, leggings or shorts (occasionally)

  • On your body - layers of loose fitting clothing, fleeces or hoodies

  • On your feet - walking boots or sturdy trainers (summer) with good tread

  • Just in case - waterproof jacket & trousers & spare warm layers

  • To carry things - a rucksack, and remember to pack food & drink

  • In the summer having some midge repellant might be useful

  • In the winter hats and gloves are essential
